Chicago Reader

11"x 17" Ink, Digital color, 2016

The Chicago Reader approached me to illustrate an article for the politics section about Chicago's TIF Commission approving Rahm Emanuel's push to give $16 million to property developers, freezing the distribution of property taxes to schools, parks, and other public facilities until the property dissolves in 2034.

I sent in initial sketches, 2nd round sketches, and then the full color final for the Chicago Reader's Jan. 21 print issue as well as online
